GIS technology facilitates Government for better management and provides transparency in the process. So, Government has to take a big step in ensuring that the GIS service reaches every individual of the country. Government bodies can work efficiently by availing the GIS technology to provide effective transportation network, infrastructure and public services. Main works which come under the control of Government are to increase employment rates, reduce crime, revitalization of neighborhood, coastal management etc. Employment rates in an area can be mapped effectively with the help of census data and GIS. Crime analysis can be done efficiently with reference to current and past records. The resulting statistics with the help of GIS, gives clarity in the pattern and trend of crimes going on and help in taking better steps in future. Coastal management has to be undertaken by having an intellectual mind with the Remote Sensing information for shoreline changes, conservation of biological resources, monitoring of erosion and quick response to man-made or natural emergencies such as, oil spills, tsunamis, and storms. We provide above mentioned facilities to Government, by using GIS and Remote Sensing techniques.
